Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success (Alma 26:27).

Singing in a cathedral!

It is almost the end of May! And in Utah it looks like things are hot and dry and all the fun stuff that comes from living in a desert! Jaja, while here, it is raining about every other day, strong winds and blistering cold nights. It is crazy to see the difference between the two!

So last week, right after we got done emailing, we got a notice from the branch president to sing at a funeral for a woman (non-member) that one of the members took care of. We thought that it wouldn´t be a problem, especially since we had the idea that there would only be 20 or so people. So we walked into the cathedral around 5:00 (yes, a Catholic one) and there were 300 or more people, so jaw-dropping. It was only my companion, the Hermanas (the Sisters), the member, and me that were up there in front of the priest singing "Nearer my God to Thee." The family thanked us for coming over and singing for the beloved family member, while we got some of the craziest looks from people jaja.

We also had specialized training during the week. We learned about how we can work more with the members and that we can have more success if both the members and the missionaries work together. Really good, and I was able to see a couple of my old MTC friends again!

Then during the week, I had this realization that we should work with one of our pueblos. The pueblo, Olot, has about 6-8 members that come every week to church, and they show their dedication and faith by doing that. All they need is a couple more active members to start a group there! So that is what we are setting out to do now! We started working with the members that don´t come to often and some of them want to start coming back and when they do, then big things can happen in Olot!

So that is my week, thanks for tuning in. And please everybody, pray for the members in Olot that they may achieve their goals and that the Lord may be with them! Thank you!
