Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success (Alma 26:27).

Pamplona and los San Fermines (Running of the bulls)!

Pamplona is a party! Hey everybody, it is Elder Sadler again, coming to you from Pamplona. Things have been going really quickly this week, well if you take out all the parties Pamplona has every night. But it is good, we are finding some more people to teach and we have a lot of people who are on the edge of being baptized, so I would like to ask for all of your help to please pray that we may have a lot of baptisms for July! My companion and I are doing it and we know it will happen! Your prayers will help us so much!

Nothing really big happened this week. My companion and I are reading a talk Elder Lasater gave to the Madrid Mission in 1988, and he sets some goals for them to accomplish. One goal that was in there was to find one good person (with their number) every hour. On Saturday, we decided to ask for faith and guidance to get three numbers in three hours. The first two hours were rough, we didn´t get anybody. But in the last hour, we got four numbers of people who are really interested!!! That is a miracle! We were so tired, but happy, and knew that the Lord blessed us in our endeavors.

And now, I am in a really big ward. It is really weird to be in such a big ward of 200 people from being in a tiny branch of just 50. It is a little overwhelming, but I have made some good relationships with the members already and I think we are going to do great work here!

Well, that is all for this week. I will be back next week, when San Fermines (Running of the bulls) starts, the real party!!

Pamplona here I come!

Hey everybody so another week has come and it is the week of transfers. So, we got the call on Saturday night that I would be going to...Martorell!!! A city near Barcelona that is strong in the church. I was so excited to go there since I had heard so many good things from it. But then, on Monday morning, we got a call from one of the ayudantes (assistants). He said that something happened with another Elder who needed to stay near Barcelona, so I was being switched to Pamplona!!!! So that is where I am now, in Pamplona with my new companion Elder Ochoa from Honduras. He is great! Super nice and funny, and made me feel welcome after a long four hours train ride, jajaja!
But my last week in Vic was a good one. We saw a lot of people and the branch is progressing in the Gospel. We were teaching one of our best investigators, Augustine, about the ten commandments since he has a baptismal date for the fifth of July. He told us at the end of the lesson that he knows baptism is important and that it is necessary to salvation. We were about to jump for joy when he said that!!
We had a going away party as well for one of the Hermanas that was in Vic because she is finishing her mission this week. She was super good and the members are really going to miss her. Best of luck to Hermana Hamson!!
And last but not least… Spain in the World Cup, a disaster, made me so sad…oh well, there is still the next year(s) to come. Thanks for tuning in everybody! I will be sure to update you next week with my adventures in Pamplona!!!! And the Running of the Bulls is coming up in a couple of weeks!!
Hasta la próxima!

Miracles happen

Hey everyone! So now it is summer and it is hot right? Wrong, here in Vic is has rained five out of the past seven days, with this last Sunday being the worst as it had hail to accompany it. But it is alright.

So last week for preparation day, we went to Olot with some of our members. There are a few dormant volcanoes there and the one we went to is called Montsacopa. There is an abbey at the top and we played some sports inside the crater! We had a lot of fun, even though it was hot and humid, we were drenched by the end!

Last week going to Olot for our P-Day!

But this week we have been working a lot with the members and it finally paid off when we had three investigators come to church! Yes! It was so good to see this success and I know it really helped the members boost their confidence. We also had a huge miracle this week! We were knocking doors a couple weeks ago and we gave one of the men a card. He wasn´t really interested but he still accepted the card. Jump to this past weekend. We get a call from a random number, and it was a member who just moved into the apartment that this guy lives in and saw the card, called us, and wanted to meet and find out where the church was! Out of all the places, he went to one of the places where we left our number. THAT is a miracle!

Alright, well, I guess that is all for this week. Next week is transfers so I may or may not be writing, but we will see. And let´s go España in the World Cup!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Zone Conference

Hey everybody! This week will be a short entry because I just got back from our day in Olot, which I will talk about more next week.

Today @ Iglesia Sant Esteve in Olot

But this week we had Zone Conference with President Pace and his wife and there were two special guests from Sevilla! Sevilla is a city in the south of Spain! They were some of the first converts down there, Hermano (Brother) Paco y Hermana (Sister) Trini! They are super nice, and the best thing was, Hermana Trini says she remembers my father! I just hope he remembers her jaja! But we also learned how we can receive more revelation from the Book of Mormon and how we can better center our lessons around the investigator.

Near the end of the week, we decided to pass by some old investigators that we had, and one of them was named Mark. He is from Ghana and remembers what the other Elders taught him and liked what they said. We thought it was all going well, and we invited him to be baptized for the 28th of June and he accepted! He is so great! He loves football (soccer) as well!

That is my week, people. Sorry it isn´t long, but I thought I would give you a little something. Thank you! Until next week!
