Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success (Alma 26:27).

Two day conference in Bilbao

Hola a todos! Welcome back to another week in Logroño! Well, first off, we went to Bilbao for two days last week! We stayed in a nice hotel where we had free breakfast, aww it was so good :) And the best thing is that Bilbao was warm! There were people walking out in shorts and t-shirts while we were still wearing our big coats from Logroño because we thought it would be colder jajaja.

During the two day conference, we learned about a lot of things, but I will highlight two of the biggest things that I liked. The first thing was a lesson Pte. Pace gave about why we have challenges and told us why it was so hard for us to do the work. He said, ¨You have challenges, difficulties and struggles because the Lord is building up future strong Saints in Zion and He is doing it with all of you in this moment. ¨Aw man, I cried a lot during this moment, and the Elder to my left, (Elder Engen, who is in Pamplona right now) was crying as well, as well as a few other missionaries right when Pte. Pace said that. It was so powerful!

The next thing was a lesson that Hna. Pace gave, about the difference between an obedient missionary and a consecrated missionary. She says that an obedient missionary can do the work but not with the right attitude, while a consecrated missionary does the work with all of his heart, might, mind and strength. That impacted me a lot as well, because for us to consecrate ourselves to the Lord is a big commitment that brings big blessings.

So anyway, those are a couple of things that I liked. Later the first night, Elder Larsen and I went out with Elder Vogel, an Elder serving in Bilbao, and we went out contacting for 5 hours. We found a couple of good people and got about 6 lessons in the street and we had fun while we did it! Maybe the warm weather made everyone have a better attitude jaja xD

But we got back to Logroño and our numbers suffered a little bit because of the trip to Bilbao, however we have a lot of stuff planned for this week. The other Elders had a baptism, of an 18 year old girl from Uruguay who is the granddaughter of the ward mission leader so congratulations!  This past week was good, but this week will be better :)
With my district of Logroño

The scripture this week is found in DyC 4, the whole section, where the field is white already to harvest… the typical youth theme, which has helped me this past week.

Anyway, thank you all for tuning in, I love you all, and have a great week! See you later!
