Hey Everyone!! I hope you all had a
wonderful Conference filled weekend! Just going to throw my opinion out there,
I loved conference! There were so many good talks and great advice, but we just weren´t
able to see the last session, so we were a little disheartened by that for a
little bit.
This past week our Preparation Day
was on Tuesday because that was the day of transfers. None of the people in Vic
got transferred, so we decided to go to the Vic Episcopal Museum!! Nothing is
opened on Mondays so it was a good change of events! The museum included A LOT of paintings,
sculptures, clay figures, basically anything you can think of art-wise of Christ.
A lot of different depictions of Him and what he did, but it was all amazing! I
loved all of it! They also had an exhibit that showed off ancient Egyptian
artifacts, as well as some Roman architecture. Then they had a historical part
for Spain where they showed weapons, money, architecture and other things that
were prevalent in Vic´s area over the past few hundred years. But it was good
to finally go see a museum and enjoy it!
This week has been a pretty hectic
one. My companion was made District Leader so he has been trying to learn the
ropes for that, and we do a lot of work for the branch, like plan activities
and call people to remind them of church, AND we have two baptisms scheduled
for this week so we have been working with them, (mother and
son) a lot. The Hermanas (sisters) in our area have three baptisms planned this week. So five baptisms for Vic this week? Everybody pray
and hope! We can do it!
We are focused on our baptisms this
week, but we are also trying to reflect on what we learned from General
Conference. Remember that these are words from prophets of God and we should
hear their words.
All is well here in Vic. The sun is
shining, people are noticing and we are still trying to find people. But thanks
for all that you do! We will see you next week!
