Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success (Alma 26:27).

Stake Conference!!

Hey everyone, welcome back!! / Hola amigos, gracias por volver una nueva semana!!

In Tortosa with my companion
Not much happened this past week, we had transfers, which did not affect us here, but we just worked as usual. We did have the stake conference of L´Hospitalet this weekend and it was presided by Elder Reina de las Islas Canarias, really funny and really nice and he told us about a lot of things that we need to change in the stake. And on Saturday, nobody from Tortosa could come because it is a two and a half hour trip and a lot of money, but after talking and planning with the members, 8 people came from Tortosa!!!! With two investigators and our recent convert :) They came Sunday morning, getting up at 6 in the morning to get the train on time and then a bus after! What commitment! So don´t complain if you have to walk five minutes to church next time!

With the wonderful people that traveled from Tortosa to the conference
Well, let´s say that there are big plans for Tortosa, but we can´t say anything yet, because we don´t know what is going to happen, but keep us in your prayers!!  And the woman who was baptized last weekend, her daughter has a goal to be baptized this weekend, so please pray for her!!!

The scripture for this week is in 2 Timothy 1:8. Never be ashamed to express your knowledge of Christ!

Os quiero!!! Love you all!!!

Surprise Baptism!!!

Hey everybody! Well, I am staying in Tortosa for another transfer with Elder Montalbo, which is good, because we are about to see a lot more miracles!

So this week was normal until the end of the week came. But on Friday, we had interviews with President Pace, and in those interviews, we just talk about how everything is and what we want from our lives and missions and everything, so it was a really good experience, like always :)

But we have been working with a woman that we met about a month ago. She has known that this church has been true since day one but has been a little scared. We invited her on Thursday to be baptized that Saturday (the eleventh) and she said she would think about it. Friday comes around, and she was still not sure, and Saturday morning she calls us and says that she is ready! So we get her ready and later that day we travel to Tarragona to have her baptism and the group has embraced her like she was already a member for a long time!

Other than that, things are good here, we have other people on the brink to be baptized, and the group is growing here :) We have members trusting us more, and there is more unity here in Tortosa.

And the scripture for this week is in Helamán 5:12, which talks about how Christ is the rock that we should build upon, and I know this to be true :)

Hasta la próxima semana! We´ll see you next week!

Feliz Pascua!

Hey everyone, welcome back to another week, a busy one with General Conference and things of the sort. We went to Zone Enfoque on Wednesday and we saw the video of Gracias a que Él Vive, which talks about the resurrection of Chris. It is a really beautiful video, the link is in the last blog update!

But let´s see, there was General Conference as well and we only saw three sessions, but it was alright. We were able to see a session in Tortosa, and all the members said they would come and see it. And in total, we had 32 people there watching General Conference with us! It was a huge miracle and 12 of those people were investigators! We were so happy! And the members were happy as well to see the church filled with so many people.

Watching conference in Tortosa
During conference, the people who gave the talks discussed a lot about the importance of families and what it means to have a good family. I guess the world is trying to get farther away from families and trying to destroy and manipulate its importance. But I know that families are really important. God has given us families so that we can be happy and that we may return to live with Him again. This week, instead of a scripture, I will leave a hymn, page 195 in Spanish, Eternas Pueden Ser las Familias (Families can be together Forever). A beautiful song to go along with the messages we heard from conference.

Have a good week, I love you all!!!
